The
Leadership Intern Program committee is soliciting applicants for the
Leadership Intern Program that was established in 1998. Beta Mu
chapter is one of a growing number of chapters in Sigma Theta Tau
International STTI) that provides such an innovative program. The
purpose of the Leadership Intern Program is to encourage future leaders
to develop their leadership skills and insights within the framework of
a local chapter. The selected Intern will have opportunities to
learn different strategies for decision making, activity planning and
coordinating, as well as networking, through participating in activities
at the local, regional or national level.
Each
Internship extends over a period of two years. The prospective
Intern must submit an application and solicit support from two STTI
members who will provide a reference on behalf of the applicant.
All application materials must be received on or before February 14,
2011. The selected Intern will be introduced at the annual Beta Mu
Chapter Induction Banquet in April for appointment to the Intern
position in July 2011.
The
leadership program is an outstanding opportunity for an interested
individual to grow professionally and personally, to develop or expand
leadership skills and to learn more about STTI and Beta Mu
chapter. We encourage you to apply for this program, or recommend
candidates to the chapter if you know anyone who has the potential of
being a nursing leader. Leadership Intern Applications are
